How to update the AT-D578UV Plus / UVII
- Connect the programming cable and switch the radio on normally. The flasher can save a codeplug backup first, because the update erases the codeplug.
- Start the radio in firmware-update mode. With the radio on, hold MENU + EXIT and switch it off with the power key. Keep holding until the screen is off and the red LED blinks, then release.
- Pick the version and the serial port, then press Flash firmware and watch the progress.
- Run the installer on the radio. Switch the radio off, then hold P2 + the channel knob while switching it on and confirm the reset with MENU.
- Write your codeplug back with the CPS version that matches the new firmware.
