How to update the AT-D878UVII / UVII Plus
- Connect the programming cable and switch the radio on normally. The flasher can save a codeplug backup first, because the update erases the codeplug.
- Start the radio in firmware-update mode. Switch the radio off, then hold PF3 (blue key on top) + PTT while switching it on.
- Pick the version and the serial port, then press Flash firmware and watch the progress.
- Run the installer on the radio. Switch the radio off, then hold PF1 (side key next to PTT) + PTT while switching it on and confirm the reset on the radio.
- Write your codeplug back with the CPS version that matches the new firmware.
